Isolation: Ensures channel-to-channel, channel-to-PM (Process Manager), and channel-to-power supply isolation to eliminate ground loops and electromagnetic interference (EMI), critical for accurate low-level signal measurement.
2.2 Advanced Temperature Measurement Capabilities
Dual Sensor Support: Compatible with a wide range of thermocouples (per ANSI and JIS standards) and RTDs, covering extreme temperature ranges from -230 °C (for T-type TCs) to +1820 °C (for B-type TCs).
Cold Junction Compensation (CJC): Integrates a precision CJC device to automatically compensate for ambient temperature variations at the FTA, ensuring accurate TC measurements. Optional remote CJC is supported via specific FTAs (e.g., MU-TAMT14).
Open Thermocouple Detection (OTD): Configurable OTD functionality validates each temperature conversion before propagating the process variable (PV). If an open sensor is detected (resistance ≥ 1500 Ω), the PV is set to “Not a Number (NAN)” and a channel soft failure is triggered, preventing incorrect control actions.

Fixed Scan Rate: All 64 channels are scanned at a 1-second fixed rate (max 64 channels/sec), balancing measurement speed and accuracy for most industrial temperature monitoring use cases.
