Details:
The Yokogawa AAR145-S03 is a specialized RTD/POT Input Module designed exclusively for Yokogawa’s CENTUM VP and ProSafe-RS Distributed Control Systems (DCS). It focuses on high-precision acquisition of resistance-based signals from RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) sensors and POT (Potentiometer) devices, making it ideal for temperature monitoring and manual setpoint adjustment in industrial processes. It is widely used in sectors like power generation, chemical processing, and semiconductor manufacturing—where accurate temperature measurement and reliable resistance signal capture are critical.

-----Core Specifications
The Yokogawa AAR145-S03 is classified as a dedicated RTD/POT input module, optimized for resistance-based signal processing. It features 16 independent input channels, all with dedicated isolation to prevent cross-channel interference and ensure stable simultaneous signal acquisition from multiple RTD or POT devices.
For RTD compatibility, it supports common industrial RTD types: Pt100 (3-wire or 4-wire, the most widely used), Pt50, Cu100, and Ni100. This broad compatibility allows integration with standard temperature sensors in global industrial settings. For POT compatibility, it accepts potentiometer signals with resistance ranges of 1 kΩ to 10 kΩ, typically used for manual control setpoints (e.g., adjusting process pressure or flow via a dial).
Signal excitation for RTDs is a stable 1 mA DC constant current—this minimizes self-heating of RTD elements, which could otherwise skew temperature measurement accuracy. The module’s input resistance range spans 0 Ω to 4 kΩ, covering the full operating range of most industrial RTDs and POTs.
Isolation performance meets strict safety and anti-interference standards: 1500 V AC isolation between input channels and the DCS backplane (tested for 1 minute), and 250 V AC isolation between individual channels (tested for 1 minute). This effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference (EMI) from nearby power lines or industrial equipment.
Power supply uses a 24 V DC industrial standard (with ±10% voltage tolerance to handle minor grid fluctuations), and maximum power consumption is 3.8 W when all 16 channels are active—suitable for high-density DCS rack configurations.
