The 1746-NI4 is a 4-channel analog input module belonging to Allen-Bradley’s SLC™ 500 series (product series: Bul. 1746 / 1747), designed for compact PLC systems. It specializes in collecting differential analog signals, with each channel independently selectable for voltage or current input via DIP switches, making it versatile for various industrial monitoring and control scenarios (such as pressure, temperature, and flow detection). The module features 16-bit A/D conversion resolution, ensuring high-precision signal acquisition, and incorporates a 6-pole Gaussian digital filter to suppress high-frequency noise, enhancing signal stability. It does not provide loop power for input devices, requiring an external power supply matching the transmitter’s specifications. All analog common terminals (ANL COM) are internally connected, and channels are not individually isolated but grouped isolated from ground, with a rated insulation voltage of 500 V DC between field wiring and the backplane.
