The Bently Nevada™ 3500/25-01-02-00 (part number 126648-01) is a half-height, two-channel
Enhanced Keyphasor Module designed for the 3500 Machinery Protection System. It serves as a
critical timing and speed measurement component, receiving input signals from proximity probes or
magnetic pickups and converting them into digital Keyphasor signals. These signals indicate when the
Keyphasor mark on a rotating shaft aligns with the transducer, enabling 3500 monitor modules and
external diagnostic equipment to measure shaft rotational speed and vector parameters (e.g., 1X
vibration amplitude and phase).
Configured with the model suffix "01-02-00", this module features a single half-height 2-channel
Keyphasor card (designated by "01"), a Proximitor I/O Module with External Terminations (designated
by "02"), and no agency approval (designated by "00"). The external termination configuration
requires separate ordering of external termination blocks and signal cables for complete installation.
It maintains full form-fit-function downward compatibility with legacy Keyphasor modules, making it
suitable for retrofits in existing systems, while offering enhanced features including once-per-turn
event signal generation from multi-event-per-turn inputs, field-upgradeable firmware, and asset
management data reporting.
The module supports parallel operation for Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) applications, where two
modules work in tandem to provide primary and secondary Keyphasor signals to other rack modules.
It features front-panel LEDs (OK and TX/RX) for real-time status monitoring—indicating module fault
detection and communication with the Rack Interface Module (RIM). With isolated I/O options
compatible with magnetic pickups and proximity probes (requiring an external power supply for the
latter), it adapts to diverse industrial setups while complying with global safety and electromagnetic
compatibility standards.
