The KJ1501X1-BC1 is a System Dual DC Power Supply developed by Emerson Process Management,
specifically engineered for safe and reliable operation in hazardous industrial environments. As a
critical power component in the DeltaV™ Scalable Process System, it provides stable dual DC power
outputs to power control system components (e.g., controllers, I/O modules) in Zone 2/Division 2
hazardous areas. With ATEX and FM certifications, it ensures compliance with global safety standards

Installation & Operational Requirements
1.Safety-Critical Handling
Powered Removal/Insertion: Strictly prohibited—the unit cannot be removed or inserted while system power is energized. This prevents electrical arcing (a critical ignition hazard in explosive atmospheres) and avoids damage to the power supply or connected DeltaV components.
12 VDC Passthrough Limitations: When operating in 12 VDC passthrough mode, ensure the external voltage source does not exceed 12.6 VDC or supply more than 16 A. Exceeding these limits may cause overheating or safety certification non-compliance.
2.System Integration
DeltaV Compatibility: Optimized for the DeltaV™ Scalable Process System; refer to Emerson’s DeltaV Scalable Process System Zone 2 Installation Instructions (Document 12P2046) and Installing Your DeltaV Automation System manual for detailed wiring, grounding, and mounting procedures.
Mounting: Intended for rack mounting within Emerson-approved control cabinets (compatible with standard 19-inch industrial racks). Ensure the cabinet provides adequate ventilation to maintain ambient temperature within 0–60°C and prevent power supply overheating.
Maintenance & Service
No User-Serviceable Components: The KJ1501X1-BC1 contains no internal parts that can be serviced, adjusted, or replaced by the user. Disassembly is strictly prohibited, as it would void ATEX/FM certifications and compromise hazardous area safety.
Calibration: Factory-calibrated for optimal power regulation; no periodic calibration is required under normal operating conditions.
Traceability: Serial number, manufacturing location, and production date are printed on the product label for warranty tracking, regulatory compliance audits, and maintenance records.
