4 Mbit Flsh Memory: Non-volatile flash storage preloaded with FSC firmware programs, providing stable and persistent execution of communication protocols, configuration logic, and system initialization routines. The flash memory’s non-volatile nature ensures firmware integrity through power cycles, eliminating the risk of data loss or corruption and enabling reliable module startup.
16 Mbit Battery-Backed Local RAM with Parity: Dedicated memory for storing application-specific data, including process variables, communication logs, configuration parameters, and temporary transaction data. Equipped with parity checking for real-time error detection and battery backup (sourced from the FSC system’s Diagnostic and Battery Module, DBM), this RAM ensures uninterrupted data retention during power outages or system disruptions—critical for maintaining communication continuity and process visibility.
2 Mbit Shared RAM: A dedicated memory buffer facilitating high-speed data exchange between the communication module and the FSC control processor.
