The TSXH5724M is a Unity Hot Standby Processor belonging to Schneider Electric’s Modicon
Premium Automation Platform, designed for reliable industrial control applications requiring
redundant processing capabilities. Discontinued on 31 December 2018 with end-of-service scheduled
for 31 December 2026, it is replaced by the BMEH582040 (M580 Level 2 Remote Redundant HSBY
Processor Module) due to end-of-life status.
Engineered for seamless integration with a single rack (supporting 6/8/12 slots), the processor
delivers robust I/O handling with a capacity of 1024 discrete I/O points and 80 analog I/O points,
along with support for 10 to 30 simple process control loops. It features a modular communication
design, accommodating up to 2 communication modules and offering versatile connectivity via non-
isolated RS485 serial link (19.2 kbit/s), Ethernet TCP/IP (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX), and a USB Type A
port (12 Mbit/s).
Performance-wise, the processor excels with fast instruction execution times (0.039–0.073 µs across
Boolean, fixed-point, and floating-point operations) and high throughput (11.4–15.75 Kinst/ms),
supported by flexible memory configurations—including internal RAM (192 kB–960 kB combined

single master task with minimal system overhead (1 ms) and provides clear status monitoring via
