The FBM207C Voltage Monitor/Contact Sense Input Module serves as a dual-purpose 16-channel
solution, functioning either as a DC voltage monitor or a contact sensor. Each channel accepts a 2-
wire input—compatible with DC voltage sources (as in the FBM207 variant) or pairs of contacts/solid-
state switches (as in the FBM207b/FBM207c variants). Associated termination assemblies (TAs)
support discrete input signals across a broad voltage range: 60 V DC, 120 V AC/125 V DC, and 240 V
AC. For input voltages exceeding 60 V DC, the TAs are equipped with additional signal conditioning
hardware, delivering voltage attenuation and optical isolation to ensure signal integrity and
operational safety.

Fieldbus Communication Capability
A Fieldbus Communications Module or Control Processor interfaces with the redundant 2 Mbps
module Fieldbus utilized by FBMs. The FBM242 is designed to accept communications from either
path (A or B) of this redundant 2 Mbps Fieldbus. In the event that one path fails or undergoes a
system-level switchover, the module seamlessly continues communication via the active path,
ensuring uninterrupted data transmission for industrial control operations.
