SPC Mounting Location Selection Criteria
When choosing a mounting location for the SPC (Speed/Power Controller), the following key requirements must be considered to ensure stable operation, easy maintenance, and long service life.
1. Environmental Protection Requirements
Moisture Protection: Avoid locations with direct exposure to water (e.g., sprinklers, leaks) to prevent internal component damage from moisture.
Electromagnetic & Electrical Interference: Keep the SPC away from high-voltage equipment, high-current devices, or any equipment that generates electromagnetic interference (EMI). This prevents signal disruption and control inaccuracies.
Vibration Avoidance: Select a location with minimal vibration. Excessive vibration can loosen internal connections, damage components, or affect control precision over time.
2. Thermal & Ventilation Requirements
Adequate Ventilation: Ensure the mounting area has sufficient airflow for cooling. Poor ventilation can cause the SPC to overheat, leading to performance degradation or component failure.
Operating Temperature Range: The location must maintain an ambient temperature between –40 to +70 °C (–40 to +158 °F). Avoid areas with extreme temperature fluctuations or direct exposure to heat sources (e.g., heaters, exhaust vents).
3. Maintenance & Accessibility Requirements
Service Space: Reserve enough space around the SPC for routine inspection, servicing, and repair work. Insufficient space will hinder maintenance efficiency and may lead to incomplete checks.
