specifically compatible with Mark VI and Mark VIe RTD input modules (e.g., IS220PRTDH1A, 

IS220PRTDH1B, IS221PRTDH1B). It serves as a critical component for RTD signal acquisition and 

transmission in industrial control systems, particularly engineered for use in hazardous (classified) 

locations. The terminal board facilitates reliable connection between RTD sensors and host I/O 

modules, supporting temperature measurement in industrial processes requiring high safety and 

accuracy.

Function & Compatibility: Dedicated to RTD signal processing, compatible with Mark VI/VIe RTD input 

modules including IS220PRTDH1A, IS220PRTDH1B, and coated version IS221PRTDH1B. It works with 

2-, 3-, or 4-wire RTD sensors, supporting standard RTD measurement configurations.

Electrical Ratings: Aligns with the electrical parameters of associated RTD input modules. The RTD 

inputs support a voltage range of 0–4.2 V dc and a nominal excitation current of 10.0 mA dc, ensuring 

stable signal conversion and transmission.

Terminal Block Type: Classified as a barrier-type terminal block, requiring wire sizes between 22–12 

AWG. The recommended screw torque is 9.6 in-lb (1.1 Nm) for secure wiring connections.

Intrinsic Safety: Certified with intrinsic safety "ic" rating, suitable for hazardous locations. Entity 

parameters for RTD inputs include Voc (Uo) = 15 V, Isc (Io) = 10 mA, Po = 0.15 W, Ca (Co) = 3 μF, and 

La (Lo) = 100 mH, ensuring compliance with intrinsic safety standards for circuit protection.

Field Terminals: Features 16 RTD channels (RTDEXC1–RTDEXC16, RTDSIG1–RTDSIG16, RTDRET1–

RTDRET16) with terminal numbering spanning TB1.1–TB2.48. Each channel includes excitation (+), 

signal (S), and return (-) terminals to accommodate different RTD wiring configurations.
