★Description:The analog input module SAI-1620m features sixteen analog inputs (0–4 V) and one external voltage readback input (0–4 V). The sixteen channels are safety-rated (SIL3, compliant with IEC 61508) and share an isolated analog 0 V common across all sixteen channels.
Field signals for the SAI-1620m’s analog inputs—originally 0–20 mA—require conversion
to a level compatible with the module. This conversion can be performed in two ways:•
Via field termination assembly modules: TSAI-1620m, TSHART-1620m, TSGAS-1624, or
TSFIRE-1624• Via the analog input conversion module BSAI-1620mE, which is mounted
on the programming connector (Px) at the rear of the I/O backplane in 19-inch chassis
Additionally, analog input signals such as those from thermocouples or PT-100 sensors
can only be used with the SAI-1620m after first being converted to 0(4)–20 mA via a
dedicated converter—alongside either a TSAI-1620m or BSAI-1620mE module.
★Function:The FC-SAI-1620M is a 16-channel analog input (AI) module engineered for industrial automation systems, typically integrated into distributed control systems (DCS) or industrial I/O chassis (e.g., FC-IOCHAS series) to enable reliable acquisition of process-critical analog signals from field devices.
