Overview
The 3500/05-01-01-00-00-01 is a full-size system rack from Bently Nevada™ (a Baker Hughes
business), designed as the mounting and communication backbone for the 3500 machinery condition
monitoring system. It accommodates 3500 monitor modules, power supplies, and a rack interface
module, enabling seamless inter-module communication and centralized power distribution.
Engineered for industrial durability and flexible deployment, it meets global safety and compliance
standards for use in general, marine, offshore, and hazardous environments.
Core Functionality
●Module Mounting & Integration: Provides 14 full-height slots for 3500 monitor modules, power
supplies, and optional components (e.g., internal barriers, earthing modules). Power supplies and the
rack interface module must occupy the far-left positions.
●Flexible Deployment: Panel mount design allows installation in control panels with wiring and I/O
modules accessible from the rear, suitable for space-constrained industrial settings.
●Inter-Module Communication: Facilitates seamless data exchange between installed 3500 modules,
supporting the system’s machinery protection and condition monitoring capabilities.
●Compatibility with Optional Components: Supports internal barriers (requires 3500/04-01 Internal
Barrier Earthing Module, occupying a dedicated slot) and blank covers for unused positions to
maintain environmental protection.
●Hazardous Environment Readiness: Meets Zone 2/Class I Division 2 standards (when installed per
drawings 149243/149244), enabling deployment in potentially explosive atmospheres with
appropriate approvals.
Installation & Ordering Considerations
●Internal Barriers: If installing internal barriers, a 3500/04-01 Internal Barrier Earthing Module is
required (occupies a dedicated slot) for IS Earth connection.
●Software Requirement: Not applicable to the rack itself; compatible with 3500 system software
versions supporting full-size racks (refer to module-specific software requirements).
●Accessories & Spares: Compatible with half-height/full-height blank covers (e.g., 130768-01 full-
height blank monitor cover kit), half-height module adapters (e.g., 125388-01 internal chassis), and
TMR/SIM jumpers (00561941).
