The Honeywell 10024/H/I is an Enhanced Communication Module (ECM) designed for seamless
integration into the FSC (Fail‑Safe Control) system, serving dual core communication purposes:
internal communication between redundant FSC Central Parts via the H‑interface and external data
exchange with devices supporting RS485/RS422 via the I‑interface. As a critical communication hub,
the Honeywell 10024/H/I features a dedicated on‑board processor and memory to offload
communication tasks from the FSC central processor, ensuring reliable and efficient data transmission
in mission‑critical industrial environments such as oil & gas and chemical processing. The Honeywell
10024/H/I supports multiple communication protocols (including FSC‑FSC, ModBus RTU/H&B,
RKE3964R), sequence‑of‑event recording (SER), and report generation, adapting to complex industrial
control workflows. The Honeywell 10024/H/I adheres to strict safety and compliance standards (CE,
UL, TÜV) and is compatible with FSC software versions ≥ 2.78f (configuration software ≥ 530),
meeting the requirements of safety‑related applications.

Hardware & Interface Details
The 10024/H/I has a modular design with a main board (10024/1/1) and two interfaces. The main board has a dedicated processor, 8 Mbit flash memory (supports EPROMs like 27C512), and jumpers (J1/J2 for COM number, J3 for program source, J4/J5 for EPROM type). It occupies 8 TE (8 HP) horizontal and 3 HE (3U) vertical rack space, runs on 5 Vdc (675 mA current, <50 mV p-p ripple), and works in 0°C-60°C, ≤95% RH (non-condensing) environments.
It integrates an H-interface (RS422 with readback) for internal redundant Central Part communication—2 Mbaud baud rate, 1.5 m max cable (Belden 9728/8314), male 9-pin connector, no galvanic isolation, and self-test for fault-triggered Central Part shutdown. The I-interface (isolated RS485/RS422) is for external communication—>6 kV isolation, up to 2 Mbaud (60 m cable), male 9-pin connector, watchdog circuit, max 16 I-interfaces per system.
For integration, it needs a system bus (7-SBUS/12-SBUS/17-SBUS) jumper removed, supports FSC software ≥2.78f, meets EMC standards (EN 50081-2/EN 50082-2), has CE/UL/TÜV approvals (part number 10024/H/I 26900), and must not be hot-swapped.
