Specifications
The AM-SA85-002 is a network interface board designed for Modbus Plus networks, featuring configurable jumper settings and multi-status indicators for network monitoring.
In terms of jumper configuration, it is equipped with eight rows of jumper pins (two pins per row) for IRQ level and Polled Mode settings. The factory default is Polled Mode (jumper removed), and the jumper can be moved to the specified IRQ position as required by the ECU or ISACFG.
For network indicators, the board has three LEDs: one green indicator for overall communication status and two red indicators (Cable A Path Fault and Cable B Path Fault) for identifying faults on dual cable paths. The green indicator flashes in specific repetitive patterns to reflect Modbus Plus status: six flashes per second (normal operating state, successfully receiving and passing the token), one flash per second (offline after power-up or exiting four-flash mode, monitoring the network for five seconds before attempting normal operation), two flashes followed by two seconds off (hearing token passing but not receiving the token), three flashes followed by 1.7 seconds off (not detecting any other nodes, periodically claiming the token), and four flashes followed by 1.4 seconds off (detecting a duplicate node address). The red indicators blink momentarily to indicate message errors on the corresponding cable path and remain steady ON for hard faults (cable or connected node device issues); if one cable path loses communication, the other path operates normally.
It supports dual cable path redundancy, ensuring continuous network communication even if one path fails, and is compatible with Modbus Plus network protocols for token-passing communication.
