1. Product Introduction
The 3300/40 Eccentricity Monitor is a key component of Bently Nevada’s Asset Condition Monitoring portfolio, designed to measure shaft bow (eccentricity) at slow-roll speeds in rotating and reciprocating machinery. It enables early detection of mechanical or thermal imbalances that could lead to equipment failure.

2. What is Eccentricity?
Eccentricity refers to shaft bow at slow-roll speeds, caused by:
Fixed mechanical bow (permanent structural imbalance).
Temporary thermal bow (due to uneven heating).
Temporary gravity bow (sag or bow at rest).
3. Core Functionalities
3.1 Monitoring Capabilities
On-Line Eccentricity Tracking: Provides continuous, real-time monitoring of one channel of eccentricity.
Dual Eccentricity Indications:
Direct Eccentricity: Instantaneous shaft bow value.
Peak-to-Peak Eccentricity: Difference between positive and negative extremes of rotor bow.
Additional Insights: Displays Gap Voltage and Threshold Voltage (Keyphasor® trigger point) for comprehensive shaft condition analysis.

Suitable for virtually all rotating and reciprocating machinery, including turbines, pumps, motors, and compressors. Critical for identifying thermal or gravity-induced rotor bow before it escalates to severe vibration or mechanical damage.

Analog Meter & LEDs: Real-time visualization of eccentricity levels, with status indicators for OK, ALERT, DANGER, and BYPASS.
Buffered Outputs: Isolated outputs for signal distribution to external systems (e.g., data loggers, control rooms).
