Overview
3500/33-01-00 is a standard 16-Channel Relay Module from Bently Nevada™ (a Baker Hughes
company), part of the 3500 monitoring system. 149992-01 refers to its compatible spare 16-Channel
Relay Output Module. Together, they provide 16 independently programmable SPDT (Single-Pole
Double-Throw) relay outputs, designed for industrial machinery protection and control applications.
The module supports flexible voting logic and alarm drive programming, integrating seamlessly with
the 3500 system to deliver reliable relay control in harsh and hazardous environments.
Core Functionality
●16 Independent Relay Channels: Equipped with 16 SPDT epoxy-sealed relays, each supporting
independent programming of voting logic and Alarm Drive Logic.
●Flexible Alarm Programming: Alarm Drive Logic uses AND/OR logic, configurable via 3500 Rack
Configuration Software. Supports inputs from alarming statuses (alert/danger), Not-OK signals, and
individual measured variables from any monitor channel in the rack.
●Selectable Operating Modes: Four groups of four channels (switch-selectable) for Normally De-
energized (ND) or Normally Energized (NE) operation, adapting to diverse control requirements.
●Status Monitoring: Front-panel LEDs include OK (module operational), TX/RX (communication with
rack modules), and CH Alarm (individual channel alarm state) indicators for real-time visibility.
●Built-in Protection: Each relay features a standard 250 Vrms arc suppressor to prevent contact
damage and ensure stable switching.
Installation & System Requirements
●Rack Position: Installed in any full-height slot to the right of the 3500 TDI (Transient Data Interface)
Module.
●Software Requirements: 3500 Rack Configuration Software v3.3+, 3500 Data Acquisition Software
v2.40+, 3500 Data Display Software v1.40+.
●Wiring Caution: Hazardous voltage risk during field wiring; disconnect power before servicing to
avoid electric shock.
