FBM206
Foxboro
The FBM206 is equipped with eight pulse input channels, while the FBM206b variant features four
pulse input channels paired with four 0–20 mA analog output channels. Each input channel is
designed to accept 2-wire pulse signals from a wide range of field sensors, including vortex
flowmeters, turbine flowmeters, solid-state or electromechanical contacts, and other devices with
equivalent pulse output capabilities. Both modules handle the necessary signal conversion to
seamlessly interface electrical input signals from field sensors with the redundant fieldbus system.

The FBM206/FBM206b modules feature a rugged extruded aluminum housing that provides robust
physical protection for internal circuit components. Dedicated enclosures designed for FBM module
installation deliver tiered environmental shielding performance, complying with ISA Standard S71.04
and supporting deployment even in harsh industrial environments.
The FBM206/FBM206b modules connect to the 2 Mbps module fieldbus via either a Fieldbus
Communication Module or a Control Processor. Built to support redundant fieldbus architecture, the
FBM206 is capable of communicating through either Path A or Path B of the 2 Mbps redundant
module fieldbus. If one communication path fails or is switched out at the system level, the module
will seamlessly continue data transmission via the active path, ensuring uninterrupted fieldbus
connectivity.
FBM206 is an 8-channel pulse input module belonging to Foxboro Evo™ Process Automation System
