lead to the loss of machinery protection. Such a failure may result in property damage and/or bodily 

injury. Therefore, we strongly recommend connecting an external annunciator (mounted on the 

operator control panel) to the OK Relay terminals to enhance the safety early warning mechanism.

Within a 3300 monitor rack, the System Monitor fulfills four key roles: first, it delivers functions 

common to all monitors in the rack, including alarm setpoint adjustment, Keyphasor power supply, 

termination, conditioning, and distribution, as well as alarm acknowledgement; second, it enables 

connection of all installed monitors to an external communications processor (sold separately) via 

STATIC and DYNAMIC data ports; third, it offers an optional Serial Data Interface (SDI) for transmitting 

transducer and monitor data to process computers, digital/distributed control systems, 

programmable controllers, and other control and automation systems; and fourth, it provides an 

optional Dynamic Data Interface (DDI) that sends transducer and monitor data to compatible Bently 

Nevada machinery management software—an option that may eliminate the need for an external 

communications processor depending on the type of data required.
