1. Module Positioning and Architecture

The T8461 is a high-performance digital output module based on Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) 

architecture, designed specifically for industrial automation and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). It 

belongs to the ICS Triplex Trusted series, with the core design goal of achieving high reliability, fault 

tolerance, and safety in critical control scenarios. It is widely applicable in industries such as 

petrochemicals, power, and metallurgy where strict system stability is required.

2. Channel and Electrical Specifications

Channel Quantity: 40 independent digital output channels, supporting division into 5 independent power 

groups (8 channels per group), enhancing power supply flexibility and fault isolation capability.

Voltage Range:

System Power Supply: 20~32 Vdc;

Field Output/Operating Voltage: 18~60 Vdc, compatible with mainstream industrial voltages of 

24Vdc/48Vdc.

Current Capacity: Each channel has a continuous output current of 0.75A, with a maximum of 6A per 

power group; the minimum conduction load current is 25mA.

3. Reliability and Diagnostic Functions

TMR Fault-Tolerant Design: The module adopts triple redundant circuits and majority voting logic. A 

single component failure will not cause system function failure, meeting the IEC 61508 SIL 3 safety level 

requirements.

Line Monitoring and Fault Detection: Equipped with built-in line monitoring function, it can independently 

diagnose open-circuit and short-circuit faults of each channel;
