The 3300/61 Vibration Monitor is designed for continuous, on-line monitoring of radial vibration in

machinery, ensure proximity probes are precisely aligned and mounted on stable bearing 

housing/casing surfaces—misalignment or loose mounting will distort rotor displacement data, 

leading to inaccurate vibration readings or false alarms that risk missing critical issues like imbalance 

or bearing wear. Do not use the monitor as a standalone overspeed protection device; it is designed 

solely for radial vibration monitoring and lacks the response speed and redundancy required for 

overspeed safety. Avoid installing the monitor or its probes near strong electromagnetic sources (e.g., 

high-voltage cables, large motors) or in environments exceeding its operating limits (-20°C to 60°C, 

95% non-condensing humidity), as interference or extreme conditions will degrade signal integrity 

and component lifespan. Always verify alert/danger setpoints against the machinery’s rated 

vibration limits before operation—incorrect thresholds may either fail to trigger warnings for 

hazardous vibration or cause unnecessary shutdowns. Additionally, perform regular calibration of 

both the monitor and its associated probes per the manufacturer’s guidelines to maintain 

measurement accuracy, and never bypass built-in diagnostic or alarm circuits during operation, as this 

eliminates critical protection against machinery damage or safety risks.
