The 10012/1/2 is a specialized module integrated into Honeywell’s FSC (Fail-Safe Control) system,
designed to support critical signal processing and interface management for industrial control
applications. The 10012/1/2 functions as a key component in facilitating reliable communication
between the Central Part and I/O subsystems, ensuring fail-safe operation in mission-critical
environments such as oil & gas, chemical processing, and manufacturing. Compliant with FSC system
standards, the 10012/1/2 adheres to safety and compliance requirements (CE, TÜV, UL) and is
compatible with FSC software versions supporting core system modules, enabling seamless
integration into redundant or non-redundant configurations.
Hardware & Interface Details
The 10012/1/2 features a compact modular design, occupying 4 TE (4 HP) horizontal and 3 HE (3U)
vertical rack space, fitting standard 19-inch industrial racks. It operates on 5 Vdc power supply with a
current consumption of 120 mA and ripple tolerance < 50 mV p-p, ensuring stable performance in
industrial environments (0°C-60°C operating temperature, ≤95% RH non-condensing). Equipped with
a male DIN 41612 Type F connector, it interfaces with the FSC system bus via dedicated pins,
supporting signal transmission between Central Part modules and I/O racks. The module includes
configuration jumpers for address setting and system integration, with galvanic isolation between
internal circuitry and external interfaces to prevent EMI and ground loops. It supports hot-swappable
replacement (with system safety checks) and features key coding for proper rack placement, ensuring
compatibility with FSC backplanes and bus systems (7-SBUS/12-SBUS/17-SBUS).
