The 10012/1/2 is a specialized module integrated into Honeywell’s FSC (Fail-Safe Control) system,
designed to support critical signal processing and interface management for industrial control
applications. It functions as a key component in facilitating reliable communication between the
Central Part and I/O subsystems, ensuring fail-safe operation in mission-critical environments such as
oil & gas, chemical processing, and manufacturing. Compliant with FSC system standards, it adheres
to safety and compliance requirements (CE, TÜV, UL) and is compatible with FSC software versions
supporting core system modules, enabling seamless integration into redundant or non-redundant
configurations.
Hardware & Interface Details
The 10012/1/2 features a compact modular design, occupying 4 TE (4 HP) horizontal and 3 HE (3U)
vertical rack space, fitting standard 19-inch industrial racks. It operates on 5 Vdc power supply with a
current consumption of 120 mA and ripple tolerance < 50 mV p-p, ensuring stable performance in
industrial environments (0°C-60°C operating temperature, ≤95% RH non-condensing). Equipped with
a male DIN 41612 Type F connector, it interfaces with the FSC system bus via dedicated pins,
supporting signal transmission between Central Part modules and I/O racks. The module includes
configuration jumpers for address setting and system integration, with galvanic isolation between
internal circuitry and external interfaces to prevent EMI and ground loops. It supports hot-swappable
replacement (with system safety checks) and features key coding for proper rack placement, ensuring
compatibility with FSC backplanes and bus systems (7-SBUS/12-SBUS/17-SBUS).
